Los Encinos, independent and non-profit, is a small elementary school with a large commitment to every child. As a small school, our reach extends not only to the child, but also to the family. Our primary goals are to prepare students with a strong academic foundation and to cultivate a passionate curiosity for learning. Teachers, serving as facilitators, provide a variety of experiences to develop critical thinkers and engaged problem-solvers. Our school-wide integrated curriculum is rich in the humanities and stresses the importance of teamwork and cooperation. Opportunities for service learning and a commitment to character education promote mutual respect. Our students are ready to take their place in our community and can successfully navigate the demands of our diverse world.
